Engineering Design Process

At Engineered Machines, we prioritize understanding your unique needs and the specific requirements of your machine. Our comprehensive design process begins with an in-depth consultation, allowing us to gather critical information about your project goals and expectations.

Tailored Solutions

Based on your application, we offer a diverse selection of materials and fabrication methods to ensure optimal performance and efficiency:

Materials:

  • Metals: Aluminum, Steel
  • Plastics: Various types to suit your needs
  • Woods: Quality selections for aesthetic and functional applications

Fabrication Methods:

  • Machining: Precision engineering for intricate designs
  • 3D Printing: Rapid prototyping and complex geometries
  • Injection Molding: High-volume production with consistency
  • Vacuum/Pressure Forming: Ideal for lightweight and durable parts
  • Sheet Metal Bending: Versatile solutions for metal components

Automation and Integration

We seamlessly incorporate sensors and actuators for automation and safety, ensuring your machine operates at peak efficiency. Our control systems can be designed for standalone machines or integrated with existing equipment for enhanced functionality.

Collaborative Design Reviews

Throughout the design process, we conduct several review sessions to address any questions, gather your feedback, and ensure alignment with your vision. Your input is invaluable, and we work closely with you to achieve your project objectives.

Deliverables

At the conclusion of the design process, you will receive comprehensive documentation, including:

  • Detailed 3D models
  • Fabrication and assembly drawings

We are committed to delivering innovative solutions that meet your engineering needs and exceed your expectations.

Build

We’ll design your machine, and then have it fabricated, assembled, programmed and shipped to your facility.  We’ll deliver the the design documents, as well as a ready to be installed machine.

The benefits of this option is that we do all the leg work – we work with the fabricators to get the parts made, we manage all the individual payments, the deliveries, the warehousing of the parts, and the assembly of the machine.  The client just has one PO, and a machine delivered ready to run.

Part Replication

We will measure, model, and redraw any part that already exists.

This is good for situations where a part in an existing machine has broken or worn out, and spare parts are not available.  Sometimes this can be because the original manufacturer no longer exists, or just doesn’t offer aftermarket spares.
